一次外出求学回来时,金刚上师邬金丹增洛诺对他说:&你以后不要任寺庙住持,不要广摄眷属,不要享用信财亡财,不要离开寂静圣处。&他。在四十五岁时于当地建造一处闭关关房,观修所有本尊、心咒,精进修行生圆次第及大圆满。而且每月初十、二十五空行节日时不间断会供,每月初八药师佛节日诵。如同金州大师一样其极热衷于灯供、花供。每晚坚持作大,一有空闲便念诵,供修蔓茶罗等,心不外散、稳如山王。他经常教诫弟子说:&内心杂念纷纷,修法不成;经常与人交往,增上贪嗔。&
六十五岁时又在卡刚静处建一闭关房。于此闭关久至七年。期间,远离一切散乱,夜以继日地专修至正行法门,自始至终毫不松懈。无论任何高官要员一律不予接见,谢绝一切来访客人,也未因任何琐事外出过。与此同时也常告诫众弟子:&从古至今,静处的修行者从未出现过饿死冻死的现象。我自己也是追循前辈诸高僧大德的足迹一心安住于寂静处。希望你们不要到处乱跑,闭关不应只是口头上的漂亮言词而应落实到行动上。&尊者真正为如今我们这些修行人树立了榜样。
现在的有些人口口声声说是要闭关,费了九牛二虎之力修了一间闭关房,一切就绪之后,在门外扣上一把大锁护关,自己跑到喧嚣的城市滚滚的红尘中去搞世间八法。真不知道房中谁在闭关,也许是他发心为小老鼠修建了一所闭关房吧。
喇拉曲智仁波切入灭
八十二岁时,尊者示现生病。弟子们请求他长久住世时,他说:&功德圆满的佛陀也趋入,难道在这个世界上有生而不死的吗?&在患病期间,眼前所现均是大圆满任运自成的成就证象。之后将所有的财产全部上供下施,并嘱咐弟子:&我死后不留任何财产,你们也不必为我念经作佛事。&
接近八十三岁时再次身染重病并且在人来人往时大声叫喊,他问身边的弟子阿索喇嘛:&我这声音外面的人能否听得见?&弟子说:&听得一清二楚,上师啊,您老人家忍著点吧!&&听见了很好,应该让大家听见。&在无人往来时上师却平静安详而住。一日,上师以狮子卧式良久。旁边的许多弟子都认为上师已圆寂了,惊恐万分。上师出定后说:&我的意识在,现在你们把我的身体捆绑起来搁置一旁。众弟子面面相觑,谁也不敢上前。上师显得很不高兴,呵责了他们。弟子们只好遵命。之后上师说:&现在可以了,你们给我供茶吧。&喝茶时,上师凝视著杯中的茶水,面带微笑地说:&这哪里是茶呀,这都是光明自然法界。&
一九四五年(木猴年)十二月初(药师佛节日),朝阳从地平线上冉冉升起之时,他对一旁的阿索喇嘛说道:&你不要坐在这里,来了。&阿索不敢再呆,便到一边偷偷地看,只见上师满面笑容地对著他那幅珍藏的唐卡注视了很久很久……。然后以狮卧式神态安然地圆寂了。此时,室外晴空万里,虽然正值寒冬腊月,天气却异常地暖和,虚空中到处呈现彩虹、明点等圆满成就之征象。后来,众弟子为上师建造灵塔以作人间供养之处。
尽管尊者的色身已趋入了,但他为佛教所培养的高僧大德不断将其弘法利生之事业发扬光大。他为后代所撰的论著及其美名必将流芳百世。
